Despite its neglected condition and surface grime, this ex-Air Forces of the National People’s Army MiG-21 fighter is more colourful than the other old Fishbed at the defunct Motor Technica Museum. The retired Cold War jet, which was manufactured in the Soviet Union, sits within the museum’s compound in the German spa town of Bad Oeynhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia. The defunct warplane (construction number 96002112) wears the serial number 22+28 but is understood to be airframe 23+48.
