The powerful ATS-59 (or to use its full name: Artilleriyskiy Tyagach Sredniy – 59) was a Cold War-era medium artillery tractor manufactured in the Soviet Union. The example seen here is a ATS-59G, so designated because it was fitted with a T-55 engine. Deserted by its military operators, this defunct ATS-59G was found sitting near a village called Ashe, in the Sochi district of Krasnodar Krai (North Caucasus). For more defunct military vehicles, check out this series of abandoned tank graveyards.
